I can only speak specifically about the Real Estate market here in St. Louis, but I imagine it’s the same all across this great nation of ours: As the weather heats up so does the market, and right now if you’re looking to sell your house, there’s perhaps no better time.
It’s a seller’s market, that’s for sure. The inventory is low and the buyers are out and ready to put in offers.
Need an example? A few weekends ago I was driving around with some clients and we had a list of about 4-5 houses we wanted to see. Every house had something they liked, but when we got to THAT house, the one that just felt right, we had an offer in within 12 hours. Within 24 hours, the offer was accepted and the house was off the market. It was listed not even a week before. And even that was a long time! I’ve heard of houses coming under contract within the first day on the market, and in my example above, I guarantee you that if we waited even a few hours longer to make that offer, we would have lost that house.
Inventory is going fast! It’s like a flash sale on real estate.
So imagine that from a seller’s perspective.
