Change doesn’t come easy

Change is hard, especially when it involves changing who you are — changing the inside.

Ever hear someone mention how they “don’t do change well”?

Have you heard the old excuses of….

“Well, it’s just who I am.”

“It’s just my DNA.”

“This is just how I was made.”

“This is how my parents raised me.”

“This is just the hand I was dealt.”

Of course you have.

Change is hard. Everybody knows it. But sometimes you have to change who you are in order to change your circumstances. Check that, there’s no “sometimes” involved in that statement.

You have to change who you are in order to change your circumstances.

Full stop.

You have to change who you are, right now, in order to change who you become down the line. Remember Dianna Kokoszka’s BOLD law: “Be, Do, Have”. It’s not just a fancy saying or a motivational sticker on a wall.

It’s the truth.

You have to be different in order to do things different…in order to have a different result.

Change isn’t easy, and that’s because we are creatures of habit. We get stuck in our routines and we become who we are — for better or worse — and often times we get content.

More realistically, we get stuck.

We get stuck doing the same things expecting different results. Albert Einstein would tell you that’s the exact definition of insanity. It’s insane to not change and expect the world around you, and specifically your results, to change in spite of you.

We may not be in control of our circumstances but we can certainly be in control of our actions, so why is it that many of us — this writer included — tend to blame everyone but ourselves for the results that we see when they’re not quite what we expected or hoping for? Why is it that we’re so quick to place the blame on our circumstances and the very things we can’t control instead of looking in the mirror and having a heart-to-heart with the only person who can do anything about it?


We are creatures of habits, thus we need to change our habits in order to change our results.

If you aren’t happy with what you’re seeing in your personal life, your relationships and specifically in your business…CHANGE WHAT YOU DO!

What has to be different in your world to make sure that you’re hitting your goals?

Review your goals every morning. Ask yourself the above question every night.

  1. I love this…. It matters every day what you feed your mind, your body, and the steps we take in the direction on the decisions we make every day. It is a choice. Within the 24 hours each of has I choose to make the best of my 7.
