My friends, the secret to success is that there’s no secret.
Open your eyes. Open your minds. Get out of your own way for a second and look at the big picture: You aren’t the first person to walk this earth and you probably won’t be the last. There have been people, many people, in fact, who have come before you. Successful people have blazed this trail before. Climbed the mountain and left you the ropes and the path to follow.
Success leaves clues. All you have to do is open your eyes and mind to find the open door to opportunity.
Simply put: Watch successful people and do what they do.
That’s a concept that Jim Rohn discussed in the video linked here, which is 13 minutes well worth your time. With that said, everyone from Dianna Kokoszka, to Tony Robbins, to our very own Krista Staub would tell you the same thing, or variations of the same truth.
Success leaves clues!
Do you think Rohn came up with the concept of? Sure, it’s a BOLD law, but it’s also not a saying that Dianna or anyone else for that matter can claim. It’s a simple truth of life, and the successful people around you have clued into that. Have you clued into them?
There are many differences between those who are successful and those who aren’t, but ultimately we all have the same amount of hours in the day. Your hours are the same as my hours. My hours are the same as anybody else’s.
We all have the same amount of time in any given day. We all don’t use that same amount of time the same, though, and ultimately the truth is that it comes down to taking action in that time you have.
You need to take big action.
I recently had a conversation with Krista in which I was lamenting the fact that I had let myself go a bit in a key category of personal development. I was hoping for a bit of sympathy or even a white lie to make me feel better at the moment, but a true coach always tells their students what they need to hear and not what they want to hear, and Krista’s response hit hard — but it hit true.
“What are you going to do about it?”
If you want to see big results you need to take big action, nobody else can do it for you. But any result — big or not — still requires effort on the part of the subject. Being a dreamer is simply not good enough, no matter how inspiring those dreams may be.
You have to be a do-er, and that’s the great equalizer between good and great. Rohn said that massive action is a cure-all, and if you can take that action and do it consistently over time (think years, not weeks), massive results should be expected.
Hang out around Krista enough and you’ll realize that what separates her from most in the field of real estate and/or productivity coaching is action. She’ll say something, put a plan in place, and then go do it — and it will be done before you even realized it started.
And no, I haven’t met Dianna Kokoszka (yet), or Tony Robbins (yet), and I’ll never be able to meet Rohn (at least on this side of things), but I guarantee you without a shadow of a doubt that they all have that same trait, as do other successful individuals.
Want to be successful? It’s no secret.
Follow the clues and get into action.
